2.5" high x 7.5" long x 3" deep
Alaskan wood carver, Ron Gravenhorst carves a few species of Alaskan birds in life size; and most species of ducks, geese, swans, and loons in miniature.
He uses basswood and after cutting out the profile on a band saw uses only knives and gouges to carve. A wood burning tool is used for the feathering and he paints the birds using brushes and acrylic paints.
Ron lives in Cooper Landing, Alaska.
