Minnie Vigil (1931-2024) is from a talented family of potters. Because of her distinctive style and high level of craftsmanship, she is recognized as one of the finest potters at Santa Clara Pueblo who is producing Polychrome pottery wares. Though highly polished redware is a traditional pottery technique at Santa Clara Pueblo, it is Minnie's painted designs using variations of beige and creme that make her works instantly recognizable.
Her work has won numerous awards at Santa Fe Indian Market, and is in noted public and private collections including the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, The Heard Museum, The Nelson-Atkins Museum, and the Museum of Indian Arts+Culture.
