Miguel Garcia Martinez was a well known designer in Taxco and was the primary designer at Rancho Alegre. He worked with many of the great artisans in Taxco as well as providing designs for Emma. Rancho Alegre was established by Pedro Perez who was a shop manager for William Spratling. During the 1960's, the shop became one of the biggest retailers of the finest silver and included some of the best regarded silversmiths and designers. The shop closed in 1985.
