This beaded bag won a Special Award at the Original American Indian & Western Relic Show, Los Angeles, October 1974. We have half of the original tag that identifies the tribal origin of the beader as Shawnee / Kickapoo. The origin of the sacred heart design comes from the Sacred Heart Mission School in Kansas.
