Leland Boone is part of the well known Teddy Weahkee family of Zuni carvers. His mother, Lena Boone, and aunt, Dinah Gasper, are renowned Zuni fetish artists. Leland is known for his carvings of traditional, directional set Zuni fetishes, showing the influence of his mother. Leland carves nontraditional pieces as well.
