Inupiaq Artist Lenwood Saccheus of Elim, AK specializes in carving soapstone, ivory, baleen, and other bone forms. His beautiful Eskimo hunter spirit masks are made from soapstone, whalebone, ivory, baleen, feathers and wood. The outer circle represents "The Heavens" - The inner circle represents "The Earth" - The face represents the "Hunter" - The tools on either side of the face represent the Tools of the Hunter (Paddle & Spear). Lenwood also creates beautiful Ivory and soapstone carvings.
