In 1976 he was given a solo exhibition at the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art in Fort Worth.  Glen works in stone, wood, steel, plaster and clay.

In 1978. La Fontaine created an 8' x 10' ceramic wall sculpture titled "The Red Race" consisting of more than 90 hand-painted and hand-carved tiles. This ceramic mural depicts a vivid image of life for the Native people on the Plains.

During the middle 1980's through the first half of the 1990's the artist took a hiatus from the art world. He currently is exhibiting his latest work, while residing in Portland, Oregon.
