Gary Sockpick is an Inupiaq Eskimo, born in Nome, raised in Shishmaref and Nome, Alaska. Gary's Grandpa, Teddy and his father Davis, taught him how to carve earrings and pendants when he was 12 years old. Living in Shishmaref, he carves bone masks and figurines.
