Napatchie Noah was born in 1926 on the land near the settlement of Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada. He specialized in carving intricate soapstone whales. His father was the late sculptor Noah Nuna. His brothers was the late Tommy Tukpanie Sr. and Peter Salomonie.
Noah has exhibited widely including exhibitions at Douai at La Halle aux Bles, Arctic Artistry, the Queens Museum, among other prominent galleries. He is included in public collections of Canadian Museum of Civilization, Dennos Museum Center, Northwestern Michigan College, and Eskimo Museum.
