San Ildefonso potter Irene Tse-Pe is the daughter of noted potter Dora Tse-Pe Pena and grand-daughter of Rose Gonzales. Irene learned to make pottery from her mother, and she began making her own pottery in the late 1990’s. Her work continues to be inspired by the shapes and styles of grandmother, yet with her mother's distinctive high polish.
