"This carving is created in the old way, the way my ancestors created masks. The carving is done mostly by adze, and the surface is knife finished as opposed to using sand paper. The face and rim are one piece of solid old growth red cedar. The mask is adorned with a hand made cedar bark rope and pigment." - Tim Alfred
