Rebecca Allurut (born 1939) was born in Ikpiarjuk (Arctic Bay, Nunavut, Canada. She lived a traditional life with her Husband Simonie and had six children, three boys and three girls.  

She was a recognized Inuit artist and sculptor from the community, and was known for her traditional carvings, reflecting the cultural heritage of the Inuit. A signature of her work is the use of a very light grey/green soapstone that is highly polished and smoothed out.

Her carvings have been featured in major institutions, with pieces held in the permanent collections of the Museum of Anthropology at University of British Columbia and the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian.
