Hailing from Cape Dorset, Nunavut, Etidloie Adla is a talented artist from a talented family. Both his grandfather’s, Audla Pee and Kulai Adla were respected carvers who influenced their young grandson’s future work. Etidloie’s brothers Ashevak Adla and the late Mappaluk Adla are also both highly regarded carvers in the world of Inuit art.
Etidloie’s style is distinctive and fluid, with attention to detail and realism, he is sought after by art collectors and galleries for his refined technique. Etidloie’s favourite subjects to carve are bears and people.
