Woman Transforming into Bear, Bronze by Terresa White, Yup'ik
by Terresa White, Yup'ik
Bronze, Limited Edition of 25
12" x 10" x 7"
This bronze depicts the beautiful harmony of human and animal, anthropomorphized animals, and animal transformation. "I have heard that a long time ago the earth's crust was thinner than it is today. During that time it was easier and more common for human and animal people to transform. There are many Alaska Native stories, like the one this sculpture tells, of humans becoming bears." - Terresa White
