Northwest Coast Eagle Bracelet by Travis Henry, Coast Salish Nation hand carved sterling silver 6" around x 1" opening x 1" wide
Travis Henry was born on Vancouver Island and currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia. Travis learned to carve silver and make jewelry from his mother’s second husband, Paddy Seaweed.Travis was very influential in teaching his brother, Graham Henry, the art of jewelry making.
The Coast Salish inhabited the coast of the mainland from Bute Inlet in British Columbia to the Columbia River, dividing Washington and Oregon and those areas on Vancouver Island not occupied by the Kwak-Waka'wakw (Kwaguitl) and the Nuu-Chah-Nulth ("Nootka"), from Johnstone Straight to Port San Juan. They also occupied vast areas of western Washington state.
