Ray Wadhams is a member of the Kwakwaka’wakw Nations, originating from Alert Bay, BC, a small island off Vancouver Island’s Pacific Northwest Coast. He’s born in the 1940s and comes from a large family of artists, he is the uncle to William Wadhams, another well known member is Lloyd Wadhams. Ray and Lloyd always carved in a traditional way and are known for their loon bowls and totems, always using cedar and mostly stain.
