"Jewels are works of art that acquire their full value only when they are carried by a person. Therefore, they are means of expression of both the artist who created them and the people who wear them." - Alberto Lenz
Born in Mexico City in 1964, Alberto Lenz is a sculptor, painter and jewelry designer linked with geometric art and constructivism.
Lenz earned his degrees in Architecture and Urban Development. As well, he attended the Academia di San Carlos, before moving to Paris. Upon returning to Mexico to continue a mixed career of architecture and fine arts, Lenz was appointed Director of the Alhondigas de Granaditas Museum in Guanajuato, followed by a teaching career in art and architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana, as well as a Coordinator of “Strategic Projects” for the State of Guanajuato.
At present, Lenz balances his time between being the director of the El Nigromante Centro Cultural, which is the San Miguel de Allende branch of the Bellas Artes, with being a full time artist.
